We are offering a complete, fully automated 15 hl BrauKon 2-vessel brewing system on behalf of Überquell Brauwerkstätten in Hamburg. The system was commissioned in 2017 and has been professionally maintained throughout its operational life. It is well suited for a craft brewery, brewpub or microbrewery producing up to roughly 3,000 hl per year.
The brewery is available immediately, ex-works Hamburg.
What is included
Brew house. BrauKon 2-vessel system in stainless steel high-polish finish on a modular frame. The mash/wort kettle features the BrauKon EcoBoil internal boiling system, a bottom heating zone and a GentleMix agitator with variable frequency drive. The mash/lauter tun has an enlarged diameter of 1,600 mm with a milled false bottom and raking gear. A separate vapour condenser with heat recovery is included. The entire system is pre-piped, pre-wired and ready to operate. Glass manway covers with the original brewery logo are part of the package.
Automation. BrauKon TControl Pro based on Siemens S7 with a 12-inch touchscreen. Full automation of mashing, lautering and wort boiling, including pneumatic valves, automatic water mixing station with inductive flow meter, and SmartClient internet connectivity for remote access. All software licences are included and transferable.
Malt handling. 2-roller malt mill (type TA-175-300-2, capacity above 1 t/h) with sub-frame, malt hopper with permanent magnet and safety grid, and an approximately 18-metre tubular chain conveyor connecting the mill to the brew house. Steam-tight grist valve.
Whirlpool and wort cooling. Separate whirlpool on its own base frame, fully piped. Single-stage plate heat exchanger for wort cooling, wort cooling pump, sterile air aeration system and corner pipe strainer.
Hot water. 40 hl hot water tank with its own heating system, automatic temperature control and pump. Energy recovery from wort cooling and the vapour condenser feeds back into this tank.
Fermentation cellar. Seven BrauKon cylindro-conical tanks in two sizes: three 45 hl outdoor tanks and four at 15 hl indoor CCTs. All tanks are pressure-rated to 3 bar, insulated with welded stainless steel cladding and glycol-cooled. Each tank has double outlet fittings, Pt100 temperature sensors and automatic cooling water valves controlled via TControl. A mobile CIP and beer pump with frequency converter and a BrauKon HopGun dry hopping system (up to 10 kg pellets, also mobile) complete the cellar.
Serving tanks. Supplied in 2017 by Caspary (Chieming, Germany). Three 15 hl serving tanks and two 10 hl pressure tanks, all in stainless steel 1.4301, insulated with 50 mm PU foam, glycol-cooled, CE-certified to 3 bar under the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23. Each serving tank comes with a manway, fill and drain fittings DN40, CIP spray head, CO2 safety fitting, 4-way beer manifold with check valves and a dial thermometer. Five level indicators are included.
Heating. BrauKon electric inline-ID instantaneous heater producing temperatures above 130 degrees Celsius, control cabinet and expansion vessel.
Refrigeration. Glycol chiller rated at 22 kW, designed for outdoor installation, with glycol buffer tank and automatic temperature control. A separate 22 hl brewing water pre-cooling tank with heat exchanger and pump is included.
Compressed air and nitrogen. Scroll compressor at 37 cubic metres per hour (sound-insulated) with 250-litre air receiver, fine filter, air dryer and sterile air filter. N2 generator with membrane technology producing 5.10 cubic metres per hour at 99.5 percent purity and 7 bar, complete with buffer tank, end storage and gas blending station.
KEG system. Automatic KEG cleaning and filling system with Siemens S7 control and CO2 counter-pressure. Includes a 15 kW electric steam generator and a manual KEG filling head.
Water treatment. Complete reverse osmosis system at 0.9 cubic metres per hour, consisting of fine filter with pipe disconnector, water softener, activated carbon filter, RO unit, blending station, brewing water tank and frequency-controlled pump station. Skid-mounted with its own control cabinet and touch panel.
